General information
From the Tools4GDPR Home Page you can log in to the application.
You can choose the main theme from the menu bar. When a menu is opened, it consists of 2 parts. The upper part (above Set-up) contains the (optional) sub-themes. Below the Set-up you will find the tables that are needed to process the sub-themes. Set-up tables should normally only be entered once.
You can also find below with external websites, and an extensive help menu.
Working with tables
Most of the data in this application is stored in tables. Below you can see an example of a table as shown in Tools4GDPR.
A table has a name and consists of:
- Columns - these form the definition or name of the fields in the table
- Rows (or records). These contain the data.
- A row (or record) contains one or more fields (columns) with data

- Creating a new row (record)
- Editing an existing row (record)
- View an existing row (record)
- Delete an existing row (record)
- If the rows are grouped, you can also create a new group
You can also change the order of the rows in the table. In order to do this, you must first enable the move records icon. You can then change the order of a row by selecting the row and dragging it to where you want to insert the row.

| Create new record. You're automatically directed to the page to add a new record. | |

| Delete record. If you use this icon, the selected record will be deleted unless this data is used elsewhere in the application. In that case you will receive a warning message. | |

Moving records not allowed - OFF position - You can not relocate records. This icon has 2 positions, OFF and ON. |

Moving records allowed - TO position - You can relocate records. This icon has 2 positions, OFF and ON. |
| Change order of records. If the order change is set to ON, you can change the order of records by selecting the row and dragging it to another location. | |

Working with RTF fields
Some fields allow you to use RTF. If applicable, you will see the 'summernote' WISYWIG (what you see is what you get) text editor.
This word processor allows you to perform simple word processing. When you press the question mark icon, you get an overview of all possible operations.
